Baghdad, April 5, 2009 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas met, today, with the Iraqi President Jalal Talibani, in his first official visit to Iraq.
During the meeting they discussed reinforcing the bilateral relations, and looked into the results of the Arab Summit, the Palestinian internal dialogue and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
Talibani, on his side, affirmed his country’s support to the Palestinian People, while President Abbas expressed solidarity with the Iraqi people and the unity of Iraq.
President Abbas is to meet, later today, with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Malki.
