JERUSALEM, March 24, 2009 (WAFA)- Violent confrontations took place, today, between Palestinian citizens of Um Al-Fahem city and Israeli police and soldiers, who shot live bullets and rubber-coated metal bullets.
The Israeli police launched tear gas bombs and incendiary sound bombs towards Palestinian citizens who crowded since the early morning hours in protest on the extreme Jewish group who arrived in two buses holding Israeli Flags in provocation to the Palestinians’ feelings.
Head of the Islamic Movement in Israel Ra’ed Salah, was shot in the confrontations, another Palestinian was shot in the head, critically injured, and was taken to hospital as a result.
