RAMALLAH, March 16, 2009 (WAFA) - A group of well-known human rights campaigners demanded that the United Nations investigate war crimes committed during the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip in December, 2008.
In an open letter, the group said it was deeply shocked by the conflict in the Gaza Strip, in which over 1300 Palestinians.
The 16 signatories include Bishop Desmond Tutu and former UN human rights high commissioner Mary Robinson.
The activists said there are indications that the Israeli troops violated human rights.
