RAMALLAH, March 11, 2009 (WAFA)- Relief International (RI) launched, today, an emergency appeal for the relief of Gaza.

In a press release issued, today, the RI called for immediate urgent donations to “assist the most vulnerable, conflict-affected populations in their time of need.”

It added that it is providing immediate assistance to victims of the recent Israeli offensive on Gaza, with over 50 volunteers and emergency response staff. RI emergency teams are assisting in evacuating women, children and the elderly from the most damaged neighborhoods while additional trained staff help support and treat those injured.

RI Through its extensive network of volunteers, RI emergency teams will continue to distribute urgently needed supplies to the worst-hit areas in Gaza.
