PLO Affirms Right of Return to Palestinian People to Homeland
RAMALLAH, May 14, 2007, (WAFA)-PLO National and International Relations Department affirmed Monday the right of return to the Palestinian people which is internationally guaranteed.
In a press release on the eve of the 59th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, it called on the entire world to shoulder responsibility for the Palestinian people and exert efforts to reach a solution to the Palestinian cause based on international legitimacy resolutions.
It called on the United Nations to provide protection to the Palestinian refugees everywhere, including those living in Iraq.
It added that Israel continues exercising the policy of migration through constructing the Annexation and Expansion wall and imposing closure and siege as well as dividing the Palestinian land and turned it into cantons.
PLO National and International Relations Department confirmed that our people maintained their national identity, which Israel tried to cover up and keep their cause alive. The world today is more convinced than ever of the Palestinian right to their land and establish their independent state on the borders of June 1967.
