Abu Amr Meets with Jordan's al-Bakhit
Amman, May 12, 2007 (WAFA)-- Foreign Minister Zeyad Abu Amr met on Saturday with Jordan's Prime Minister Marouf al-Bakhit.
The meeting was held in the presence of Foreign Minister Abdul Elah al-Khatib and Palestinian Ambassador to Amman Atallah Khairi.
Abu Amr expressed thanks to King Abdullah II over his stands by the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause, affirming that such attitudes are a source of comfort and confidence for the Palestinian people.
the Minister said the Jordanian-Palestinian relationship is governed by a clear and a common vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stressing that bilateral relations are now at their best.
for his part, the Jordanian Prime Minister affirmed Jordan's support and standing on the side of the Palestinians to restore their legitimate rights and support all efforts to maintain the unity of the Palestinian people.
He pointed out that the visit of King Abdullah II to Ramallah tomorrow, during which he will meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stresses his desire to continue supporting the Palestinian brethrens and to support efforts to revive the peace process.
