Fatah Welcomes Jordanian King's Visit
RAMALLAH, May 12, 2007 (WAFA) - Palestinian Liberation Organization Fatah on Saturday praised the visit that that King Abdullah II of Jordan will pay on Sunday to the Palestinian territories during which he will hold talks with President Mahmoud Abbas.
Spokesman of Fatah, Fahmi Al Za'areer, stressed the distinguished relations between the two sides, affirming Jordan's deep concern about the Palestinian issue.
He praised Jordan's role in supporting the Palestinian people to enable them achieve their aspiration and legal rights by establishing their independent Palestinian state and to enhance cooperation with the national authority, calling on Jordan to continue exerting efforts to end the financial siege against the Palestinian people.
Za'areer expressed appreciation for King Abdullah's efforts and his meeting with President Abbas, hailing the tireless efforts that Jordan exerts to resume the negotiations based on the Arab Peace Initiative at the aim of establishing the Palestinian state as soon as possible.
