IOF Attacks Anti-Wall Rally in WB, Wounds 7 and Arrests 10
RAMALLAH, May 11, 2007, (WAFA)- Seven citizens and foreign peace activists were wounded Friday as Israeli soldiers shot rubber-coated metal bullets and gas canisters at the weekly peaceful rally against the Apartheid Wall in the village of Bilin, near Ramallah, witnesses said.
Coordinator of the "Anti Wall Committee", Abdullah Abu Rahmeh, told WAFA that two Swiss peace activist and one French were wounded as they were hit with the rubber coated bullets.
He added that Israeli soldiers arrested ten peace activists, including four Israelis.
The soldiers assaulted reporters and photojournalists and smashed their cameras, according to Abu Rahmeh.
