Israel's Defense Ministry Approves of Building New Jewish Colony in Jordan Valley

TEL AVIV, December 26, 2006 (WAFA)- The Israeli daily Haaretz revealed that the Israel's Defense Ministry has approved the building of a new Jewish colony in the northern Jordan Valley, outside of the West Bank Apartheid Wall.

The daily reported Tuesday that the site of the planned colony will be a former installation of the haredi branch of the IOF Nahal infantry brigade.

The plans, approved on Monday, included the construction of 30 houses intended for families who were evacuated from Gush Katif as part of the disengagement from Gaza in August 2005, according to the daily.
