JERUSALEM, June 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today prevented Palestinian residents from holding Friday prayers at the mosque of Nabi Samwil village, located northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Palestinian Authority's Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli forces barred worshippers from entering the mosque under the pretext of "security concerns."
Nabi Samwil, home to around 350 residents, is surrounded by Israel’s separation wall and expansionist settlements. The village has long been subject to land confiscations, with hundreds of duuams seized for settlement construction. Residents also face repeated harassment and violations by Israeli forces and settlers.
