Israeli forces detain 30 Palestinians during wide-scale raids in Hebron

HEBRON, June 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 30 Palestinians on Friday across various areas in the Hebron Governorate, located in the southern West Bank, during widespread raids on homes.

According to Palestinian security and local sources, 11 people were detained in the town of Halhoul, north of Hebron. Another six were detained in Hebron city.

In the southern town of Dura, Israeli forces detained three minors: Wasim Adnan Tbeish, 17, Ibrahim Ahmad Abu Ras, 16, and Tamer Nader Suleiman Al-Faqih, 17. One person was also detained in the town of Dhahiriya.

In the western town of Idhna, mine more Palestinians were detained.

Sources reported that Israeli soldiers assaulted several of the detainees during the raids, physically abusing them while ransacking their homes and damaging personal belongings.

In a separate development, Israeli forces set up multiple military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps. Several main and secondary roads were closed using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds, further restricting movement throughout the area.
