RAMALLAH, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) — The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) documented seven Israeli attacks against farmers on Wednesday between 6 AM and 6 PM in four West Bank governorates.
The CWRC said in a report that the attacks included bulldozing agricultural land, uprooting trees, demolishing structures and destroying water tanks, detaining farmers and denying them access to their land, and releasing livestock into olive groves.
In the Jenin governorate, Israeli occupation forces began bulldozing large tracts of olive-planted land in the northeastern area of the Tura village without any prior notice.
In the Nablus governorate, the occupation forces detained four people while they were picking olives in the Burqa town, at a time when colonists razed olive groves in the areas of al-Qalila and Ras al-Ain, east of the village of al-Sawiya.
In the Bethlehem governorate, the occupation forces bulldozed a half-dunum plot of land in the village of al-Walaja, uprooted over 50 olive and almond trees, demolished a 35-meter-long retaining wall and a staircase, and destroyed water tanks.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, colonists released their livestock into olive-planted land in the villages of al-Mazra'a al-Sharqiya and Kafr Malik. In the town of Turmus Ayya, colonists, under army protection, prevented farmers from harvesting their olives.
The CWRC stressed that attacks targeting the olive harvest season go beyond assaults on farmers to include destroying the foundations needed to sustain Palestinian agricultural activity, including uprooting decades-old trees, bulldozing land, and destroying irrigation facilities and agricultural infrastructure.
It added that the simultaneous bulldozing and uprooting operations, detention of olive pickers, and prevention of farmers from accessing their land reflect the multiple forms of pressure undermining Palestinians’ ability to use their land. It warned that the continuation of these practices threatens to expand the area of land whose owners are deprived of the ability to cultivate it.
It called on the international community to take effective measures to halt these attacks, ensure the protection of farmers and their agricultural property, and hold perpetrators accountable.
