BEIRUT, June 20, 2025 – WAFA – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun received today Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, in Lebanon.

During the meeting, the two discussed the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Dabbour conveyed his profound gratitude to President Aoun for his unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people across all fields, particularly his continued support of Palestinian refugees until their return to their homeland.

He also commended the President’s efforts to improve the living conditions of the refugees and noted the refugees’ commitment to Lebanese laws.

The ambassador reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s and leadership’s full respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and its authority over all its territory, including the Palestinian camps, in accordance with the presidential inaugural speech and the joint statement issued during the Lebanese-Palestinian summit.

He further emphasized the commitment to continued cooperation and comprehensive coordination with the Lebanese state.
