Israeli forces continue closure of Ibrahimi Mosque for eighth consecutive day

HEBRON, June 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to Muslim worshippers for the eighth consecutive day, according to a statement released by the Hebron Directorate of Awqaf on Friday.

The statement noted that the mosque, located in the heart of Hebron's Old City, remains inaccessible as Israeli occupation authorities continue to prevent the performance of prayers.

The Directorate of Awqaf further reported that Israeli forces are also preventing mosque employees, caretakers, and local residents from entering the site, citing security concerns as the pretext for the ongoing restrictions.
