IOF Intensifies Military Escalation in Bethlehem
BETHLEHEM, May 26, 2004, (WAFA) – Israeli Occupation Forces(IOF) blocked early Wednesday the old city of al-Khader town of Bethlehem, denying the civilians’ access from-into it, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said... They told WAFA that massive Israeli troops, backed by the border-guard soldiers, were deployed at the town main entrance, denying access from-into it.... The witnesses confirmed that the border-guard soldiers opened intensive fire and gas canisters against the pupils who were on their way to school to pass their examinations.... Meanwhile, IOF troops blocked all entrances of al-Khader town by placing sand barriers so as to deny the civilians’ access from-into Bethlehem.... In Jenin, IOF furthered, for the third day running, blocking main water- net of Ya’bad town, Palestinian municipal sources said.... They confirmed that the water -net is the only source for water in the town....
