Incurring into West Bank, IOF Arrests 17 Civilians


NABLUS, April 8, 2004, (WAFA) - Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed early Thursday the west Bank cities of Nablus, Tulkarem and Bethlehem and arrested seventeen civilians, including two university female students, witnesses said.... They told WAFA that the IOF troops, escorted by thanks and personnel armoured carriers, rolled into Nablus City and opened heavy machinegun fire at civilian houses.... Israeli Soldiers conducted a wide-scale search campaign in the city, arresting nine civilians and causing a state of panic among children and women.... Security sources confirmed that nine civilians were arrested and led into concentrations Camps.... Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli armoured vehicles and miltary jeeps stormed the city of Tulkarem and its Refugee Camp, arresting mo’iad al-Jallad 23, Eiad al-Tirawi 27, and Rami al-Barawi 20, leading them to an undisclosed area, securiy sources said.... Meanwhile, IOF moved into al-Dheisheh Refugee Camp and al-Doha town of Bethlehem, security sources affirmed.... Security said that IOF brutally arrested Eman al-Akhras 24, and Mahmood Hammash 19 of al-Dhesheh Refugee Camp after breaking into their houses.... The sources added that Israeli soldiers stormed the house of Khalil Abu Hammad 30, shortly before arresting him and taking him to an unknown place....
