MADRID, May 2, 2026 (WAFA) — The Spanish government on Saturday condemned an attack on a French Catholic nun in Jerusalem and called for the perpetrator to be brought to justice.
In a statement, Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Madrid “strongly condemns the attack” and expressed solidarity with the victim, wishing her a speedy recovery.
The ministry also called for ensuring freedom of worship, respecting the status quo in Jerusalem, and taking measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
