Palestine confirms 19 new coronavirus cases

 

RAMALLAH, Friday, June 19, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine today confirmed 19 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the occupied territories since the pandemic outbreak to 834.

Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced in a press statement that 19 cases were found in Taffuh town, west of Hebron.

She added that 22 patients recovered from the virus; 11 patients in the northern West Bank district of Qalqilia and 11 others in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, 20 novel coronavirus cases were confirmed in the West Bank. They included 18 cases in Hebron district, one in Bethlehem district and one in Nablus city.

According to the latest coronavirus data, out of the 834 cases, 567 are in the West Bank, 72 in the Gaza Strip and 195 in East Jerusalem.

Recoveries has reached 592 total, including 437 in the West Bank and Gaza and 155 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 237 active cases. The death toll still stood at five.
