Two brothers die from suffocation near Salfit

 

RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 14, 2020 (WAFA) –  Two brothers died today when they suffocated from the lack of oxygen while were working in a water well in the village of Kafr ad-Dik, near the town of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.

Governor of Salfit, Abdullah Kmail, announced that Ammar al-Dik, 51, and Diaa al-Dik, 30, died on Sunday early morning after they ran out of oxygen when they were working about 10 meters deep inside the well.

He said several civil defense staff sustained suffocation as they tried to rescue the two brothers before the two were announced dead.
