After five years, Israeli court convicts settler of murdering Palestinian family

 

TEL AVIV, Monday, 18 May 2020 (WAFA) – After five years of deliberations, an Israeli court today found a settler guilty of murdering three members of the Palestinian Dawabshe family, according to Israeli reports.

Saad Dawabshe, his wife Riham and their 18-month-old son, Ali, were killed in a fire in their home in the northern West Bank village of Duma on 31 July 2015 caused when a group of Israeli settlers throw incendiary bombs inside their home while they were asleep. Another, son, Ahmad, who was four years old at the time, survived the fire with serious burns.

The court found Amiram Ben-Uliel guilty of three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Two others who were with him at the time of the arson were released from prison earlier and not put on trial.
