HEBRON, Monday, May 18, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestinian residents of the southern West Bank town of Beit Ummar clashed today with Israeli soldiers who raided their town on a search-and-arrest mission, said a local activist.
Mohammad Awad, an activist, said the soldiers raided the town and detained a former prisoner identified as Mohammad Ahmad Abu Maria, 32, who had served five years in prison for resisting the occupation.
During the raid, residents pelted the soldiers with stones, who fired back teargas grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets causing several suffocation cases.
