NABLUS, Sunday, May 17, 2020 (WAFA) – Fanatic Israeli settlers on Sunday uprooted olive trees in an area to the south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, said Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank.

He said that settlers uprooted about 40 olive trees in the area of Ras al-Deir in the village of Yatma, noting that they belong to a local Palestinian farmer identified as Mohammad Najjar.

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Two days ago,  a large number of settlers hurled stones at Palestinian vehicles travelling along the road connecting the west Bank cities of Nablus and Qalqilia.

Settlers also sneaked their way into Burin village in an attempt to attack the villagers’ houses, but their attack was fended off.

There are almost 834,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in violation of international resolutions.
