RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 21, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received at his office today Mr. Abraham Borg, the former Speaker of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, and discussed with him the ways to move the Palestinian-Israeli peace process forward.

During the meeting, Borg stressed the importance of conveying the message of peace of President Abbas to Israeli public opinion, and the need for initiatives to achieve that goal.

Borg also said there is a Palestinian partner for peace, and that what is required to achieve this goal is an Israeli partner who believes in a just peace that serves the Palestinians and the Israelis, based on the resolutions of international legitimacy and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
