SALFIT, June 15, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was assaulted on Sunday by a group of armed Israeli colonists while driving near the village of Marda, east of Salfit, resulting in significant damage to his vehicle.

Local sources told WAFA that the victim, identified as a resident of Marda, was traveling along a rugged dirt road in the Wadi Yasuf area—an unofficial route connecting the villages of Marda and Yasuf—when he was ambushed by armed colonists.

The colonists physically attacked the man and vandalized his vehicle before threatening him and forcing him to turn back toward his village.

The dirt road in question has become a vital secondary route for Palestinians in the area due to the closure of main roads by Israeli occupation authorities, limiting civilian movement and access between cities, towns and villages.
