HEBRON, Tuesday, February 26, 2019 (WAFA) – The municipality of Idna in the south of the West Bank, was ordered by the Israeli army today to stop work on a 500-meter long agricultural road intended to serve local farmers, according to Abdul Rahman Tmeizi, an Idna official.
He told WAFA that the military government ordered the municipality to stop work on the road located in an area of the village that is under full Israeli military control.
He said the road was intended to facilitate movement of local farmers and access to their lands and farms.
The military has lately escalated its measures against local Palestinians in that area with an intention to restrict their movement that would eventually lead them to abandon their land as a first step toward Israel seizing the land and turning it over to area Jewish settlements.
