RAMALLAH, Monday, September 2, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is relatively hot in daytime and fair in nighttime with a slight drop in temperature while remaining 2°C above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate with occasional gusts and sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to drop again on Tuesday to around its annual average and on Wednesday and Thursday become slightly below the annual average.

PMD warned people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and against setting fire to areas with dry grass.
