RAMALLAH, Friday, August 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is relatively hot to hot in daytime and fair in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts, with no significant change in temperature which remains slightly higher than the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 28°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
No significant change is expected in the weather on Saturday.
Sunday’s temperature is set to slightly rise and approach 2°C higher than the seasonal average with hot to very hot conditions in daytime and fair to relatively hot conditions in nighttime.
Monday’s temperature is set to slightly drop with mainly hot conditions in daytime, particularly in the Jordan Valley, and mild conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.
PMD warns people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time, and against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
