Prices stable in construction cost index in Palestine

 

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings remained stable in the West Bank during July 2019 compared with June 2019, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) in a report issued on Sunday.

At the level of major groups, rental of equipment increased by 0.32%, while the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.01%. At the same time, labour wages remained stable during July 2019 compared with the previous month.

CCI for non-residential buildings reached 105.82 with a slight decrease of 0.03% in the West Bank during July 2019 compared with June 2019 with the prices of raw materials slightly decreasing by 0.07%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.36%. Labour wages remained stable.

CCI) for skeleton buildings remained stable at the level of 104.87 in the West Bank during July 2019 compared with June 2019 with the prices of rental of equipment increasing by 0.36%, while the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.03%. Labour wages remained stable.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 109.62 with an increase of 0.21% in the West Bank with the prices of raw materials increasing by 0.30%, and rental of equipment increased by 0.14%, while operating costs of equipment and maintenance decreased by 0.41%. Labour wages remained stable.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 113.68 with a slight increase of 0.06% in the West Bank.

Water Networks Cost Index reached 116.64 with an increase of 0.13%, while Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 107.16 with a decrease of 0.13%.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 109.79 with a slight increase of 0.08% in the West Bank.
