RAMALLAH, March 22, 2018 (WAFA) – A senior Ministry of Interior official denied on Thursday claims that Hamas has shared with his ministry information about the attempt to assassinate Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah in Gaza.
Maj. Gen. Mohammad Mansour told Voice of Palestine radio that claims by Hamas official Salah Bardawil that his movement shared everything it had regarding the attempt to assassinate Hamdallah and intelligence chief Majed Faraj upon entering Gaza on March 13 were baseless.
“There are no bases at all for what Bardawil said,” according to Mansour, urging the media to get its information only through official sources.
Bardawil claimed that Hamas has arrested a man identified as Anas Abu Khousa who is suspected of being behind the attempt to assassinate Hamdallah and Faraj.
Abu Khousa was arrested in Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza following a shootout that left two Hamas men dead and the suspect injured.
