RAMALLAH, January 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is partially cloudy to cloudy with a slight rise in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
A slight chance of scattered rain is expected on some areas, especially in the northern parts of the country.
Wind is southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate, active at times. Sea waves are low to medium.
The PMD also predicts weather on Wednesday to remain the same, with a drop in temperature. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected on some areas.
Temperature on Thursday is expected to be in the low teens during the day in the central West Bank areas and drops to around five degrees Celsius during the night. The Jordan Valley and coastal areas are expected to have temperature in the upper teens during the day and low teens at night.
Thursday’s weather is expected to be partially cloudy to cloudy and temperature is expected to rise. Scattered rain showers are expected as a low pressure starts to affect the region starting from evening hours. Weather conditions are expected to become cloudy, windy and very cold with heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail expected at times. A chance of light snow is expected on mountains 1000 meters above sea levels.
Weather on Friday continues to be cloudy and cold to very cold. Temperature is expected to drop. Heavy rain with thunderstorms and hail at times are expected in several areas. A chance of light snow is expected on mountains 1000 meters above sea levels.
PMD warned citizens on Thursday and Friday of low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog, low clouds, strong winds, formation of floods in low areas and sliding on roads because of hail, snow and rain.
