RAMALLAH, October 24, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities issued in the period between October 15 and 25 a total of 22 administrative detention orders against Palestinians, including a woman, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Wednesday.
PPS attorney, Mahmoud Halabi, said a mother of five who was identified as 30-year-old Khadija Rab’ee from Yatta in the Hebron district received an administrative detention order without charge or trial for a period of three months. She has been in detention since October 10.
Four detainees received administrative detention orders for the first time or were re-detained and held under administrative detention after being released. The rest had their detention renewed, said Halabi.
Administrative detention, routinely employed by Israel against Palestinians under its occupation, is implemented solely on the basis of an administrative order, without either indictment or trial.
