Israeli forces detain 19 Palestinians in Hebron, tighten restrictions across region

HEBRON, June 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 19 Palestinian citizens across various areas of Hebron Governorate on Sunday, intensifying their blockade on towns, villages, city entrances, and refugee camps throughout the region.

In the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, Israeli forces maintained a strict closure of the main entrance, preventing residents from using the bypass road and sealing all alternative dirt routes. Troops deployed provocatively across neighborhoods and streets, conducting raids on homes and commercial properties, resulting in multiple arrests.

Elsewhere in Hebron city, several neighborhoods were raided, with forces blocking civilian access and vehicles from approaching the checkpoints north and south of the city that serve as key entry points to the area. At least sic Palestinians, including two borthers, were detained during the raids.

In the southern town of Dura and the surrounding areas, Israeli occupation forces carried out further detentions. Troops also stormed the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, detaining several citizens and preventing access to the entrance gate near the bypass road.

Meantime, military closures were also reinforced at Al-Fawwar and Al-Arrub refugee camps, exacerbating restrictions on movement and daily life for residents.
