Israeli forces maintain closure of Hamra checkpoint in northern Jordan Valley for third consecutive day

JORDAN VALLEY, June 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued their closure of the Hamra checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley for the third day in a row, according to local sources.

The checkpoint has remained shut in both directions since Friday, severely impacting the daily lives of Palestinian commuters in the area.

The ongoing closure is obstructing the movement of civilians between communities in the Jordan Valley and other parts of the West Bank. It is also preventing farmers from accessing their agricultural lands and hindering the transport of produce to local markets, causing mounting economic and humanitarian concerns.

The closure of the checkpoint is part of a broader, intensified closure of the entire West Bank by the Israeli occupation army, which has been imposed on the region since Friday, June 13.
