RAMALLAH, June 19, 2017 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday offered his condolences to his Portuguese counterpart and the families of the victims of the deadly forest fire that killed at least 60 people over the weekend in Portugal.
According to CNN, a raging wildfire ripped through central Portugal, killing 61 people and injuring dozens more in what officials there describe as the "greatest wildfire tragedy of recent years”.
Abbas expressed his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the fire, wishing peace for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.
