RAMALLAH, June 14, 2017 (WAFA) - Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine decreased during May by 0.84% compared with April, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Wednesday.
CPI decreased by 1.62% in Gaza Strip, by 0.50% in the West Bank and by 0.17% in Jerusalem area under Palestinian control.
When compared to May of last year, CPI increased by 0.50%; an increase of 3.45% in Jerusalem, and 1.04% in the West Bank, while it decreased by 0.38% in Gaza Strip.
The CPI increased during the first five months of 2017 by 0.67% compared with the same period of the previous year; an increase of 3.33% in Jerusalem, 0.96% in the West Bank and 0.20% in Gaza Strip.
