RAMALLAH,  May 5, 2025 (WAFA) – A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) issued on Monday showed a decrease in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during March.

The overall IPI in Palestine reached 78.44 during March 2025 with a decrease of 2.83% compared to February 2025 (Base Year 2019 = 100).

IPI for March 2025 decreased due to the decrease in the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 3.55%, which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry, the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 3.07%, which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry, and the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 0.87%, which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry.

While, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation increased by 8.48%, which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry.
