Israeli Forces Detain Two Palestinians in Jenin, Hebron Raids

JENIN, August 18, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday detained two Palestinians during overnight raids into Jaba‘ town, south of Jenin, and Bani Naim town, east of Hebron, said security sources and Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Forces ransacked and wreaked havoc a number of houses and detained a Palestinian during an overnight raid that sparked clashes in the Jenin town of Jaba‘ in the northern West Bank.

Some of the house owners were identified as Ahmad Malaysha, Basel Ghannam, Muhammad al-Qash‘ar, Najwat Fashafsha, Muhammad Hamamra and Taleb Hamamra. The detainee was identified as Ahmad Kanaan, 30.

Clashes erupted between troops and local youths who protested the raid and attempted to block their passage.

Troops fired tear gas canisters, causing several locals to suffer from excessive tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, forces raided the Hebron town of Bani Naim in the southern West Bank, handcuffing and detaining Ahmad Zeidat.
