HEBRON, May 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians suffocated from tear gas on Thursday after being attacked by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that a group of armed colonists attacked a vehicle carrying several Palestinians with stones near the Khirbet al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta, smashing its windows and forcing it to stop.
Colonists then sprayed pepper spray directly at the passengers, causing three Palestinians to suffer severe suffocation and skin irritation. The three were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Colonists also attacked the home of a local Palestinian resident in the Wadi al-Rakhim area, pelting it with stones, smashing its windows, and damaging its contents. No injuries were reported.
