RAMALLAH, April 24, 2016 (WAFA) – During the year 2015, 484,394 guests stayed in hotels in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
PCBS said 30% of those guests were from European Union countries and 11% were Palestinian, while 9% were from the United States and Canada.
The number of hotel guests was 21% lower than in the previous year
During 2015 the number of guest nights in the West Bank hotels reached 1,420,264, of which 34% were from European Union countries, 12% were Palestinian, and 10% were from the United States and Canada.

During 2015, there were 2,975 hotel workers: (2,291 males and 684 females).
Hotel Room Occupancy 2015
The room occupancy rate in the West Bank was 23% in 2015, with an average of 1,530.5 rooms daily occupied.
Room occupancy during 2015 was 11% lower than in the previous year.
Hotel Capacity 2015
One hundred and twelve (112) hotels in the West Bank responded to the survey at the end of 2015. They had an average of 6,791 rooms and 15,059 beds.
These were distributed by region as follows:
* North of West Bank: 19 hotels comprising 377 rooms with 1,073 beds.
* Central West Bank: 35 hotels comprising 1,527 rooms with 3,255 beds.
* Jerusalem: 21 hotels comprising 1,471 rooms with 3,244 beds.
* South of West Bank: 37 hotels comprising 3,415 rooms with 7,487 beds.
