QALQILIA, December 7, 2015
(WAFA) – Israeli authorities Monday detained at least 20 Palestinians,
including minors, from across the West Bank districts, mostly during predawn
and night raids, according to local and security sources.
In Qalqilia district, in
northwestern West Bank, Israeli troops broke into the city and detained five
Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes. They were identified as
Abdul-Hadi Qashta, 18, Tareq Abu Mustafa, 16, and his brother Nabil, 24, in
addition to Ahmad Qar’aan, 18, and Haitham Aamer, 26.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces broke
into the town of Halhoul, north of Hebron, and detained three children,
identified as 13-year-old Rashed Abu-Asba, who suffers from a disability, in addition to Laith
al-Bou, 16, and his brother Ahmad al-Bou, 13.
Army also detained a youth in
Hebron city after raiding and searching his house. He was identified as Kayed
Yamani, 29.
Forces further broke into the
nearby town of Beit Ummar, where they detained ex-detainee Aktham Ikhlail.
Soldiers reportedly blindfolded Ikhlail before taking him to Etzion military
camp to the north.
To be noted, the number of
Palestinians detained from Beit Ummar since the beginning of unrest in early
October, 2015, has reached 90, including 41 under the age of 18.
Meanwhile in Nablus district,
army broke into the village of Qaryout, where they detained Mohammad Sulaiman,
22, and Ghanem Abdullah, 22. Forces also stormed the village of Sebastia, north
of Nablus, and detained Qutaiba Azem, 25.
In Jenin district, in northern
West Bank, army forces stormed Jenin refugee camp and detained two local
youths, who were identified as Lutfi Abu-en-Nasser and Mohammad Shalabi. Army
also searched other homes in the camp, but there were no reports of arrests.
In the meantime, Israeli police
detained four minors in the neighborhood districts of Issawiya and Silwan in
Jerusalem. They were identified as Nasim Mehesen, 15, Rami Mehesen, 17, Nasim
Mehesen, 17, and Ibrahim Jolani.
Police also detained Yasser
Eskafi, the father of Omar Eskafi, who was shot dead by the police on Sunday,
reportedly after he ran over and stabbed Israelis west of the city.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem, Israeli
forces broke into Aida refugee camp and notified three youngsters to appear for
interrogation at nearby Gush Etzion military complex.
