Newspaper Review: Dailies Highlight Netanyahu’s Postponement of Knesset’s Vote on ‘Jewish State’ Bill

RAMALLAH, November 25, 2014 (WAFA) – Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted on Tuesday the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s postponement of the parliamentary vote on the controversial ‘Jewish state’ bill.

Following are the main headlines:

Al-Ayyam:

 

-    [Israeli PM] Benjamin Netanyahu defers the [Israeli parliament] Knesset’s vote on his ‘Jewish state’ bill fearing disintegration of his government [coalition].

-    Washington calls on Israel to achieve equality of rights among all citizens.

-    [Chief negotiator] Saeb Erekat and [Foreign Minister] Riyad al-Maliki confirm [that the leadership] will seek action at the UN Security Council [to set a deadline for end of Israeli Occupation] following the Arab meetings scheduled at the end of this month.
