GAZA, June 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Four more Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in fresh Israeli drone strikes and gunfire targeting Gaza City and Rafah on Saturday, bringing the death toll since dawn to more than 17, including children.

WAFA correspondents, citing medical sources, reported that three civilians were killed in an Israeli drone strike near Al-Saftawi Roundabout in northern Gaza City. Another Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces near a humanitarian aid center north of Rafah, while several others were injured.

The attack near the Rafah aid center adds to a growing number of casualties among Palestinians trying to access food amid the ongoing Israeli blockade. According to UN reports, nearly 500 civilians have been killed while attempting to receive aid at Israeli-American distribution points established late last month.

These sites, which operate outside the UN framework, have become death traps for starved Palestinians seeking food aid across the war-torn region.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 56,331 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 132,632 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
