Israeli occupation forces detain over a dozen Palestinians in overnight raids across Nablus

NABLUS, June 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained at least 14 Palestinians early Saturday during a series of raids across the northern West Bank provinces of Nablus and Salfit. Among those detained was a journalist and a former prisoner.

According to local sources, Israeli forces stormed the town of Zawata, west of Nablus city, where they raided several homes and detained one young man. In the south of the governorate, troops also raided multiple villages and towns.

Three Palestinians were detained from the village of Madama, while six others were detained in the village of Asira al-Qibliya. Another was also detained in an Israeli military raid on the town of Tell, southwest of Nablus.

Additionally, Israeli forces detained journalist Mujahid Bani Mufleh from the town of Beita, after storming and ransacking his home.

In Salfit governorate, two young men were detained in the town of Al-Zawiya. Local sources said that one of the detainees is a former prisoner. The detention followed home raids in which Israeli soldiers subjected the detainees to physical abuse.

The widespread detentions are part of ongoing Israeli military attacks across the occupied West Bank, which have intensified in recent months, drawing condemnation from Palestinian officials and international human rights groups.
