Newspaper Review: Renewed Israeli Aggression on Gaza Focus of Dailies

RAMALLAH, August 9, 2014 – (WAFA) – Renewed Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip following the 72-hour pause together with West Bank violently crushed rallies in solidarity with Gaza hit the front page headlines of the Palestinian dailies.

 

Here are the front page headlines of the dailies.

 

Al-Quds

 

-          Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip is renewed, claiming the lives of more Palestinians.

-          Resistance fires dozens of rockets and Cairo-based [ceasefire] talks are still ongoing.

-          White House is very concerned about the developments in Gaza.

-          Israeli Channel 10 News: It is unlikely that Israel occupies Gaza Strip.

-          King of Jordan, [US President Barack] Obama discuss ‘serious escalation’ in Gaza.

-          Kuwaiti and Egyptian aid is allowed entry into Gaza Strip.

-          [Former Head of Israeli Military Intelligence Amos] Yadlin: “Israel has failed to achieve the goals it set for the war and the resistance has emerged strong.”

-          Haaretz: 1,620 Israeli soldiers have been injured since the war on Gaza broke out.

-          Information Ministry: 1,000 foreign journalists (reporters) have entered Gaza since the war broke out.

-          5 Palestinians are killed and dozens others injured following failure to renew truce.

Al-Ayyam

 

-          1,620 Israeli soldiers have been injured since the war on Gaza broke out.
