HEBRON, April 6, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian citizen sustained bruises on Monday night after being assaulted by colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while others attacked Palestinian citizens’ vehicles with stones east of the governorate.

Anti-colonization activist Osama Makhmareh told WAFA that colonists physically assaulted activist Sami Al-Huraini in Khirbet Al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta, causing him bruises. He added that other colonists set up a tent in the Tel Ma’in area in the town of Yatta and destroyed a fence surrounding lands owned by the Makhmareh and Jabarin families.

WAFA correspondent reported that armed colonists from the Kiryat Arba colony, illegally built on Palestinian citizens’ lands east of Hebron, hurled stones at citizens’ vehicles under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers, with no injuries reported.

In a separate development, WAFA correspondent said that the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at citizens at Hanina roundabout, south of the town of Dura, and set up a military checkpoint near the junction of At-Tabaqa village, southwest of Hebron.
