Occupation forces prevent humanitarian cases from traveling or returning from abroad via Rafah crossing

GAZA, April 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces prevented a new group of humanitarian cases from leaving Gaza or returning to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing on Monday.

WAFA correspondent, quoting the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, reported that the World Health Organization informed the Red Crescent that it had suspended the travel of humanitarian cases, including patients and their companions, as well as the return of cases via the Egyptian side to the Gaza Strip.

This comes after the Israeli army opened fire on UN vehicles on Salah al-Din Road near Route 5 in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, injuring several UN aid workers, one seriously, and damaging a number of vehicles.
