BETHLEHEM, April 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces resumed construction today of a colonial road in the lands of Tuqu' town, southeast of Bethlehem.
Tuqu' Mayor Tayseer Abu Mufreh told WAFA that the occupation forces returned today to complete the construction of the colonial road, which they had begun some time ago in the eastern part of the town.
The road, starting from the Tekoa "A" colony and extending to the Tuqu' wilderness, is approximately 10 kilometers long and close to residents' homes. If completed, it will lead to the confiscation of vast areas of land.
He added that the road construction will have negative repercussions, including the uprooting of a large number of olive trees, preventing farmers from accessing their lands, destroying the water network, and isolating the town from the surrounding wilderness.
