12 killed in Gaza since dawn Monday, majority in central strip

 

GAZA, April 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources reported that 12 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since dawn on Monday, including 10 in the central Strip and two in the north.

WAFA correspondents said that 10 people were killed by Israeli occupation forces’ fire and others were injured east of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Strip.

Earlier, two citizens were killed, and others were injured after Israeli occupation forces opened fire at two vehicles in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, and at an electric bicycle in Gaza City.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces fired at the two vehicles near Street 5 in Khan Yunis, killing a citizen from Al-Bureij refugee camp and injuring four others.

The same sources added that the occupation targeted an electric bicycle in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, killing a child.

According to medical sources, the overall toll of those killed and injured since the start of the aggression on the Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,302 and 172,090, respectively.

According to the sources, the total number of those killed since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11 has risen to 723, while injuries reached 1,990, with 759 bodies recovered.

The same sources noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble and scattered in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
