RAMALLAH, October 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces this evening tightened their military measures around Ramallah and Al-Bireh, closing several entrances and roads, setting up checkpoints, and obstructing the movement of Palestinians, causing traffic congestion.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces closed the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh and the entrance to the town of Silwad toward Al-Taybeh, while setting up a checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Jarir, where they stopped and searched Palestinian vehicles.
Israeli forces tightened their measures at the entrance to Ein Sinya and searched vehicles, causing severe traffic congestion in the area. Forces also set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Jaba and stopped Palestinian vehicles, with the congestion extending to the vicinity of the Qalandiya checkpoint.
In the western part of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, traffic congestion was reported at the entrance to Rantis due to the occupation forces’ measures and vehicle searches.
Israeli forces have tightened their military measures around Ramallah in recent days, closing the entrances to several towns and villages and setting up checkpoints on main and secondary roads, causing traffic congestion, disrupting the movement of Palestinians, and increasing their hardships.
