GAZA, August 24, 2026 (WAFA) — Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said on Sunday that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,422 Palestinians killed and 174,401 injured since October 7, 2023.

They  said Gaza hospitals received two fatalities and 32 injured Palestinians over the past 48 hours.

Since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025, the number of Palestinians killed has risen to 1,288, while 4,290 others have been injured. A total of 813 bodies have also been recovered.

Health authorities reported that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue teams continue to face difficulties reaching and recovering them.
